The main objective of the group is to obtain the professional competences for the existing degrees: Official Degrees and Masters, and own degrees. The AEP is managing, at a legal, political and social level, the recognition and regulation of our profession. The Public Administrations must validate our training and experience for the free and responsible exercise of the own attributions of the Landscape Architect, in coherence with the formation that receive the graduates in landscape architecture in the different superior degrees that the Spanish universities give, both public and private. Currently, Landscape Designers do not have recognized competences to participate in competitions and tenders offered by the Administrations, both in the drafting of projects, and in the exercise of the facultative direction of all those works related to landscape and spatial planning. Our Association is a member of IFLA EU, and actively participates with other countries where the profession and professional practice of the landscape architects are officially recognized.
